How we calibrate

What it takes to ship melee that drops into a mount without a setter re-cutting prongs.

Sieve & sort

Every parcel starts on a graded sieve set — 0.70mm through 5.00mm in 0.10mm increments. Stones are mechanically sorted to the nominal mm range, then a sorter pulls the parcel and re-checks every stone under loupe. Outliers go back into the next sieve up or down.

Tolerance

Published mm size is the nominal. Our acceptance window is ±0.02mm. That is tighter than the GIA standard for grading round brilliants and is what CAD-driven manufacturers need for repeatable drop-in setting.

Color & clarity

Standard inventory: D-E color, VVS-VS clarity. Fancy shapes and lower color grades are carried as a separate line. Every parcel ships with a written QC sheet listing the average and the range observed on the bench scope.

Lab certification

Parcels over 1 carat total weight can ship with an IGI or GCAL parcel certificate on request. Pointer stones (over 0.20ct each) can carry individual GIA reports — add 5–7 business days to lead time.
